Shipping Policy

Processing Time

All baked goods are made fresh to order. Please allow 2–3 business days for processing before your order ships or is ready for pickup.

Signed books ship within 1–2 business days.

Shipping Methods

We currently ship to U.S. addresses using USPS or UPS, depending on the item and destination. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and location.

Local Delivery / Pickup

Local pickup is available for customers in the Alexandria, VA, or Decatur, GA area.

Tracking

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow your package right to your doorstep.

Shipping Perishable Goods

Because our treats are freshly baked, we recommend bringing packages indoors promptly to maintain quality. We take great care in packaging your items securely, but once shipped, we rely on the carrier for safe, timely delivery.

Delivery Issues

If your package arrives damaged, contains incorrect items, or is missing items, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we will make it right.
Hug in a Bite by Kathi is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, incorrect addresses provided at checkout, or weather-related issues.

Warm-Weather Shipping

During warmer months, certain items may require insulation or expedited shipping to ensure they arrive fresh and delicious. If this applies to your order, we’ll notify you before shipping.
